CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP

Join award-winning author Lucy Christopher to discover the ways in which writing the wild and using setting can be important and inspiring for fiction. In a fun and interactive session of writing exercises and exploration, Lucy will guide you through the methods she uses to research and develop her novels. Through walking, writing and exploring the natural places around Art Farm, Lucy will urge participants to find their own wild places and use them as starting points for fiction.​

The Art Farm Birchs Bay permanent collection is open year-round​ on our sculpture trail, showcasing acquisitions and donations from 2006 - 2024, featuring work such as a towering needle called The Healing by artist Dan O' Toole pictured below.

We’re lucky to have award-winning author Lucy Christopher as our first writer-in-residence at the Art Farm Birchs Bay. Come and meet Lucy and hear about her incredible range of stories – she’s written books for every age!

Bring your picnic rug, your favourite snacks, and settle in for a delightful afternoon of stories, laughter, and fun. Whether you’re enjoying a good book in the sunshine or listening to captivating tales being read aloud, it’s the perfect way to relax and unwind.
