SCULPTURE TRAIL





New category and prize
This year we are pleased to announce a new category and prize!
The Small Sculpture Prize ($1,000) is sponsored by the AFBB Community Sponsors. Our hope is to broaden the opportunity for local and interstate artists to participate in the sculpture trail. See Artist Guidelines for details.

Key Dates:
Entries Close - February 4th, 2018
Installation of work - 17th, 18th, 19th and 24th March, 2018
Official Opening Event and Prize Announcements 25th March, 2018
Open to Public 26th March, 2018
Closing Event & People’s Choice Award July 28th
Removal of work: TBC

Over $10,000 in Prizes
$2,500 - Kingborough Council Acquisition
$2,500 - AFBB & Five Bob Acquisition
$4,000 – Major Sculpture Prize (for outdoor sculptures)
$1,000 - Small Sculpture Award
$500 - People’s Choice Award sponsored by Department of Premier and Cabinet.

Visitors

The Trail exhibits permanent sculptures all year and the temporary exhibition can be viewed from Easter to mid-July each year. The Trail leads visitors through pear orchards, up winding bush trails, across open fields with views of Bruny Island and the D’Entreacastaux Channel and down into a picturesque orchards and vegie gardens. Allow one-hour for the walk, wearing suitable footwear for bush tracks. The trail is open everyday of the year and welcomes dogs on leads. Scenic picnic spots available in the pear orchard or on top of the hill (half-way on the trail).

Entry Fee

$2 per person / $5 per family / discounts for school groups

Opening Hours
The trail is open every day, 8:30am - 5:30pm
